Day - 1 : Airport – Negombo
On arrival at the airport, you will be met by our representative and directly transferred to Negombo. Just a 20 minutes drive and you will comfortably check-in at your hotel.

Day - 2 : Negombo – Dambulla (4hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Habarana via Dambulla. Dambulla is famous for the five cave temples on a rock. The first three caves are better, older, and larger than the other two. Some caves date back to the 1st Century BC. There are more than 130 Buddha statues, as well as statues of Gods and Kings, in the five caves. Then you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day - 3 : Dambulla – Minneriya National Park – Dambulla
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. During the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to Minneriya National Park for a 4-hour jeep safari. Covering up to 8889 hectares of land, this park is renowned for its herds of wild elephants, with between 100 and 150 roaming around. Accessible via Ambagaswewa, only 6 km away from Habarana on the Habarana - Polonnaruwa road, the park is full of diverse wildlife such as wild buffaloes, boars and deer, sloth bears, sambhurs, crocodiles and jackals; there are also nine kinds of amphibians and 25 types of reptiles, not to mention 160 bird species! Once your excursion has come to an end, you’ll be taken back to the hotel.

Day - 4 : Habarana – Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy
After a delicious morning meal at the hotel, take a trip to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This World Heritage Site is an ancient 5th Century fortress that towers 600 feet in the air. It gets its name of 'Lion Rock' from a huge lion sculpture that once stood at the entrance of the Palace structure on top of it. On the summit you can find artifacts from the Royal Palace, Water Tanks for storing water and numerous guardhouses. The stairways contain one of the only known Sinhalese secular paintings in existence - 21 life size damsels depicted in all their original color vibrancy. You won't want to miss out on exploring Water Gardens, Fountain Garden, summerhouse, Boulder Gardens and the Caves with its enclosed area.
Thereafter travel to Kandy, with a stop-off at the Spice Gardens of Matale (03hrs). Here, you will find Cinnamon, Cardamom, Pepper Creepers and more among the trees, plants and creepers. Spice products are also available for purchase. During your visit you will be taken on a guided tour around the gardens, learning the use of each tree and plant in food preparations. Later, continue to the Temple of the Tooth Relic which houses a sacred relic of Lord Buddha. The Tooth is kept in an ornate two storey shrine decorated with local artworks and intricate architectural features. An impressive set of elephant tusks stand in front of it, whilst it is encased in a jeweled casket sitting upon a golden lotus flower throne.

Day - 5 : Kandy – Peradeniya – Kandy
After the delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to Kandy city and enjoy a local Cooking Demonstration. Led by an experienced cooking expert, we will learn all the secrets to making a typical, Sri Lankan dish. We will prepare two or three curries of our choice among many options such as dhal curry, potato curry, chicken curry, eggplant curry and Fish Curry. After preparing the meal, we can relax and savor our own creation!
Afterwards, a visit to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens is in order. Spanning across 147 acres, this pleasure garden was established back in 1374 by the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. Filled with more than 5,000 species of plants and trees – both rare something that can only be found in this location and those from the tropical world – it's no wonder why tourists flock to this place.

Day - 6 : Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be travelling to Kandy Railway Station. You can look forward to an invigorating train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, with many picturesque views. Please take note that usually, we secure 1st class tickets for all of our clients, although carriages with air conditioning may only be available for certain ones. Unfortunately due to the high demand for tickets, trains are often cancelled and it can be difficult to acquire them until we get the actual tickets in hand. Afterwards you will check-in at your hotel.

Day - 7 : Nuwara Eliya
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at Hotel Nuwara Eliya, followed by a full day city tour. Explore the hill country known to many as 'Little England', taking in its colonial buildings, Lake Gregory and the stunning Victoria Park. Take in the beauty of this city's captivating landscapes covered with tea, creating a contrast to other large cities in Sri Lanka. As you take the tour, highlights will include historical landmarks such as Sita Amman Temple and Nuwara Eliya Markets where you can find great deals on warm clothing and fresh produce.

Day - 8 : Nuwara Eliya – Ella – Yala
After breakfast at the hotel, set off for Yala National Park via Ella. The park covers an area of 378 sq. miles and was originally established as a Sportsman's shooting reserve in 1938. It is renowned for its rich wildlife and diverse bird life, with herds of elephants, leopards, wild boar and buffalo being just some of the animals encountered here. 130 species of birds have been seen in Yala - both resident and migrants - including painted storks, paradise flycatchers, grey herons, serpent eagles, sea eagles and black-necked storks. A 3-hour jeep safari will allow you to explore the stunning surroundings of this beautiful nature reserve.

Day - 9 : Yala – Udawalawa
After you have finished breakfast at the hotel, head out to Udawalawa National Park and the nearby Elephant Transit Home. This centre, found just a 20-minute drive away from the Udawalawa National Park a part of the Born Free Foundation (UK), is dedicated to caring for sick or orphaned elephants until they are ready to be returned to the wild. You can witness these majestic animals feed at 10.30am, 2.30pm, and 6.30pm from behind a barrier. Listen as their trumpets echo in excitement when their meal is served via plastic hose with funnel attachments. After your visit to Elephant Transit Home, continue on to Udawalawe National Park; this 30,821 hectare land is home for 400 elephants - roughly 250 of which live here permanently - making it an ideal place to observe them in their natural habitat.

Day - 10 : Udawalawa – Galle – Bentota
After your stay in the hotel, head to Bentota for a beach holiday. On the way, visit Galle - Sri Lanka's most historically important town. Situated on a large rock on the southern coast of the island, it used to be a significant port over a century ago, but still serves its purpose with its natural harbor. Have a look at the lighthouse and harbor or take some time out to explore the old town; here you can spot traditional lace makers and carvers, and buy some beautiful shell-craft souvenirs unique to this region. Once done, set out again on your journey.... It will take approx. 2 hours before you arrive at your destination - Bentota!
