Upon arrival at Sandakan Airport, complete immigration formalities and meet your local guide for a transfer to your lodge in the Sepilok area.

This first evening in Borneo is designed to help you settle into the rainforest surroundings and unwind after travel, preparing you for the immersive wildlife experiences ahead. Enjoy a relaxing dinner at your lodge and soak in the natural environment of this unique region.

Overnight in Sepilok

After breakfast at your lodge, visit the world-famous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Witness the feeding sessions and learn about the vital conservation efforts dedicated to protecting these endangered orangutans.

Continue to the nearby Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, home to the world’s smallest bear species, and gain insight into their care and protection. After lunch, proceed to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary for close-up encounters with the region’s unique long-nosed proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat.

After breakfast at your lodge, depart overland to the Kinabatangan region, one of Borneo’s most biodiverse areas. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before checking in to your riverside lodge, surrounded by lush rainforest and the winding river.

In the afternoon, embark on a Kinabatangan River cruise, an iconic Borneo wildlife experience. Glide along the river and keep an eye out for orangutans, proboscis monkeys, macaques, silver-leaf monkeys, crocodiles, and a wide variety of tropical birds along the riverbanks.
