Day 1 : Arrival in Cochin

Upon arrival at Cochin International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Flights Guru representative. If other group members are arriving within a similar timeframe, we’ll wait briefly before departing together. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel, approximately an hour away.

After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and settle in at your own pace.

Cochin, often known as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea,” is one of India’s most captivating cities, home to a natural harbour that has attracted traders and travellers for centuries. Rich in culture and history, Kerala’s heritage is beautifully reflected in its well-preserved monuments, palaces, and timeless architecture.

Day 2 : Explore Cochin

After breakfast, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Cochin. Your journey includes visits to the Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, and the iconic Chinese fishing nets.

Day 5 : Munnar to Thekkady (Approx. 2 hours and 30 minutes )

Check out at 10:00 AM and proceed to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and rich biodiversity. For nature enthusiasts, a visit to Periyar National Park offers a chance to immerse yourself in Kerala’s vibrant wildlife and lush landscapes.

You can explore the sanctuary by boat on Periyar Lake or on foot, with opportunities to spot elephants, wild boar, and deer roaming through tropical evergreen forests and marshy grasslands. With a bit of luck, you may even catch a glimpse of a tiger.

In addition to wildlife sightings, visitors can enjoy trekking trails and boat safaris, enhancing the experience of observing animals in their natural habitat.

Day 7 : Thekaddy to Kumarakom

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Kumarakom. Upon arrival at your backwater resort, check in and take some time to settle in.

Once the check-in formalities are complete, proceed to visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Located on the banks of Vembanad Lake, it is considered a haven for birdwatchers. The sanctuary attracts a variety of migratory birds, including the Siberian stork and kingfishers. During the breeding season, you may also spot nests and birds from the watchtowers. Carrying binoculars is recommended to enhance your experience.

Later in the day, visit Vembanad Lake—the largest lake in Kerala and the longest in India—which also serves as the meeting point of several rivers.
