Day 1: Colombo – Negombo

Upon reaching the airport in Colombo, our representative will be present to receive you and provide direct transportation to Negombo, which is approximately a 20-minute drive away. After arriving in Negombo, you can proceed to check-in at your hotel.

Day 2: Negombo – Dambulla

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Dambulla, which is approximately a 4-hour drive away. Once you arrive, you can partake in a Village Tour, which will provide a glimpse into the unchanged way of life in Sri Lankan villages. This tour will allow you to experience the simplicity and harmony with which the villagers live, responding to the changing seasons. You will have the opportunity to visit a traditional village and observe the daily activities of the villagers, including their cultural framework and domestic routines. This tourist village tour will take you on a flat terrain through the village, past jungle patches, Chena cultivations, and provide experiences such as a bull cart ride, catamaran boat ride in the village lake, a visit to a traditional mud house, and lunch consisting of Sri Lankan rice and curry, prepared by friendly village folk going about their daily routine. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: Dambulla – Polonnaruwa – Minneriya National Park – Dambulla

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. (02hrs)

Polonnaruwa, another site recognized as a "World Heritage Site," served as the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th centuries and boasts several splendid and spectacular statues. The most beautiful and largest image houses, including Lankatilake, Tivanka, and Thuparama, contain impressive frescoes from the Polonnaruwa period, with Tivanka having the best example. RankothVehera and Kirivehera are well-preserved, large stupas, while Gal Vihare, a rock shrine, is home to four Buddha statues, including two seated, one standing, and one reclining statue, and the ParakramaBahu statue is an example of Sinhalese stone carvings. Later, you can enjoy a 4X4 jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park, which takes approximately 4 hours.

Minneriya National Park, sprawling across 8889 hectares, is renowned for its large elephant population that roams the jungle in herds of 100 to 150 and can be spotted in the catchment area of the lake. The entrance to the park is located at Ambagaswewa, approximately 6 km from Habarana, along the main Habarana-Polonnaruwa road, with the office located adjacent to the main road. The park is home to around 300 wild elephants, as well as wild buffaloes, wild boar, spotted deer, sloth bear, sambhur, crocodiles, jackals, 9 kinds of amphibians, 25 kinds of reptiles, and 160 species of birds. Following the jeep safari at the national park, you will return to the hotel.

Day 4: Dambulla – Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy

Following breakfast at the hotel, the itinerary includes a visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The fortress, which dates back to the 5th century, is a recognized "World Heritage Site" and is also known as the "Fortress in the Sky." It is considered one of the most fantastic wonders of the island and is nicknamed Lion Rock because of the huge lion that formerly stood at the entrance to the palace on the summit of the 600-foot high rock. The foundations of the royal palace, water tanks, guardhouses, and other buildings are all located on the summit. The only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting, the frescoes of 21 life-sized damsels in all their original colors, can be seen on one of the stairways. The Water Gardens, Fountain Garden, summerhouse, Boulder Gardens, and Caves with the enclosed area are not to be missed. Afterward, you will travel to Kandy with a visit en route to Matale Spice Garden, which takes approximately 3 hours.

Spice Gardens at Matale – During your travels, you will come across numerous spice gardens at Matale and along the Colombo-Kandy road in Mawanella. These gardens are home to various trees, plants, and creepers such as cinnamon, cardamom, pepper creepers, and other spices that visitors can explore. Additionally, spice products are available for purchase for those interested. At each of these Spice Gardens, knowledgeable guides will show visitors around, explaining the significance of each tree and plant and demonstrating how they are used in food preparation. In the evening, you will visit the Kandy Temple of Tooth Relic.

The Temple of the Tooth Relic, a significant monument located in Kandy, contains the sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. This relic is placed within a two-story shrine adorned with two imposing elephant tusks and positioned on a golden lotus flower. The Tooth is also enclosed in a bejeweled casket and rests upon a throne. Additionally, the temple boasts splendid local paintings and unique architectural characteristics.

Day 5: Kandy – Kegalle – Kandy

Once you have had breakfast at the hotel, you will be transported to Kandy city to partake in a demonstration of local cooking.

Delicious Cookery Demonstration - Get ready to learn how to cook some delectable Sri Lankan dishes with the help of a local culinary expert during an engaging cooking demonstration. With expertise in the intricacies of Sri Lankan cuisine, our instructor will provide insight into the preparation of various dishes and teach us the art of cooking rice and curry. Together, we will prepare a traditional meal consisting of 2-3 curries, with a wide selection to choose from, such as dhal curry, potato curry, chicken curry, eggplant curry, fish curry, and many more. Once we've finished cooking, we'll sit down to savor the delicious meal. Afterwards, we'll head to the Millennium Elephant Foundation.

The Millennium Elephant Foundation (MEF) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) operated by a family that is committed to enhancing the welfare of domesticated elephants across Sri Lanka. Established in 1999 as a tribute to Sam Samrasinghe, our charity number is 457. We are responsible for the provision and financing of the animals' care, medical treatments, food, mahout salaries, charity's operational costs, and operate a Mobile Veterinary Unit that travels throughout the country to provide medical assistance to ill elephants in need. Our organization is sustained through the support of volunteers and the tourism industry, which enables us to continue our valuable work on behalf of these gentle giants. Additionally, we offer the unique Elephant Walk Experience, a humane and immersive option for tourists seeking an up-close and ethical encounter with domestic elephants in Sri Lanka. Following your visit to the MEF, we'll return you to your hotel.

Day 6: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Depart from the hotel after breakfast and head to Kandy Railway Station. Embark on a picturesque train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya. Please note that while we strive to secure first-class train tickets with air conditioning for all of our clients, availability is limited and often subject to cancellations and high demand. Therefore, we cannot confirm the availability of train tickets until we have them in hand.

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya

Set out for Horton Plains National Park after breakfast to embark on a thrilling trekking adventure. Day 8- 12 : Colombo To Maldives

After breakfast at the hotel get transferred to the airport based on your flight details for your journey to the Maldives.
