Day 1 : New Delhi
The magical tour begins in the evening with a ceremonial welcome aboard the Palace on Wheels at Safdarjung Station in New Delhi. Guests are greeted with garlands, a traditional tilak, the melodious sounds of Shehnai, and a welcome drink.
You'll be introduced to your fellow travelers; feel free to explore this magnificent palace on wheels and familiarize yourself with its various facilities. Relax with a drink at the bar. Dinner will be served onboard in the two exquisite restaurants.
Day 2 : Jaipur

The Pink City
Your journey begins at the Albert Hall Museum, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. Next, witness the iconic facade of the Hawa Mahal, followed by the precise astronomical instruments at 'Jantar Mantar' (is one of the amazing 'UNESCO World Heritage Site in Rajasthan). The tour proceeds to the City Palace, once home to the erstwhile rulers, now a meticulously maintained museum blending Rajput and Mughal architecture.
Enjoy an elephant ride up to the magnificent 'Amber Fort' (one of the most remarkable World Heritage Site in Rajasthan), experiencing the splendid architectural fusion firsthand. There's ample time for shopping in this city, known as a shopper's paradise. Dinner is onboard as the Palace on Wheels prepares for its next destination.
Day 3:Ranthambore - Sawai Madhopur
The Land of Tigers
Ranthambore National Park is spread over an area of 392 sq. km., comprised of dry deciduous forest sprawling over an undulating terrain of Aravali and Vindhyachal Ranges. The park is one of the finest Tiger Reserves in the country under the project Tiger. The majestic predators, assured of protection, roam freely during the daytime and can be seen sometimes from close quarters. Besides this, a large number of other wild animals and pretty birds can be spotted during the visit. Another interesting monument here is the 1000-year-old-Ranthambore Fort' (is one of the 'UNESCO World Heritage Site in Rajasthan) which is of great historical importance to be viewed from a distance. Day 3: Chittorgarh
The Symbol of Sacrifice and Bravery
'Chittorgarh Fort' (is one of the 'UNESCO' most famous World Heritage Site in Rajasthan) was built by various rulers during the 5" to 8" century period, this fort covers an area of 680 acres. The fort is accessible through seven gates. Important places here are Rana Kumbha Palace, Padamini's Palace, Vijay Stambh, and various temples and kunds. Witness the breathtaking sunset that adds to the fort's grandeur. Enjoy the light and sound show at the fort, followed by dinner onboard.
Day 4: Udaipur
The City of Lakes and Palaces
Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes. Maharana Udai Singh founded this new kingdom after he moved here from Chittorgarh. Start the day with a good breakfast. Lunch is at a 5-star Hotel where you can enjoy a view of the beautiful Lake. Site-seeing will include City Palace visit to the famed Crystal Gallery where you can see a collection of the most amazing crystal objects that are on display. Enjoy a boat ride before you head back to the train.
Day 5: Jaisalmer
The Jewel of the Desert
In the heart of the Thar Desert lies Jaisalmer, a city founded by Rawal Jaisal in AD 1156, renowned for its stunning 'Jaisalmer Fort', also known as Sonar Quila (is one of the 'UNESCO' most impressive World Heritage Site in Rajasthan). This golden fort, made of yellow sandstone, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a living monument where locals still reside. Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast aboard the Palace on Wheels, enjoying a variety of freshly prepared delicacies in a serene atmosphere.
As you explore Jaisalmer, marvel at the intricately carved havelis before enjoying a delicious lunch onboard Palace On Wheels. Afterward, experience an exciting camel ride on the sweeping dunes of Sam, followed by a captivating cultural performance and a campfire dinner at a 5-star hotel, where the enchanting desert charm will leave you spellbound.
Day 6: Jodhpur
The Sun City
Early the next morning, the Palace on Wheels arrives in the sun-city Jodhpur. Jodhpur was established in AD 1459. It is a land of majestic and mystic glory. A panoramic view of the city gives it a unique charm as it appears to have been painted in soft blue shades- like a painter's masterstroke. A visit to the Mehrangarh Fort will leave you awe-struck, this majestic fort has an excellent museum and still preserves a vast array of artifacts.
See the country's only palace built in the 20th century- a fine specimen of Rajput architecture viz the lavish Umaid Bhawan Palace. The mesmerizing royal charm will linger on as you leave Jodhpur, after lunch at the palace hotel.
Day 7: Bharatpur
Lively Bird Sanctuary
Early the next morning, the Palace on Wheels arrives in Bharatpur, the capital of the erstwhile ruler, Maharaja Suraj Mal. Start your day with a visit to one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world, the famous 'Keoladeo Ghana National Park' (is one of the 'UNESCO' most visited World Heritage Site in Rajasthan). It is the nesting place of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Waterfowl, and other species of birds-over 400 species, many of them migrants that come from as distant as Siberia and China. After that, visit the Lohagarh Fort, surrounded by water on all four sides, and enjoy breakfast inside the Mahal Khaas Palace itself.
Day 7: Agra
Taj Mahal - a famous monument of eternal love
The Taj Mahal (is one of the 'UNESCO' most visited World Heritage Site in India and 1 out of 7 wonders in the world), a marble mausoleum built in memory of his beloved Empress by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, is the greatest gesture of love known to mankind and is breath takingly beautiful. Lunch at a 5-star hotel. After lunch enjoy some shopping in this beautiful city. Dinner on board.
