Visit the historic Turkman Gate and marvel at the soaring minarets of Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. Glide through the vibrant streets and market stalls of Chandni Chowk on a cycle rickshaw, soaking up its kaleidoscope of cultures. Pause for a photo at the imposing Red Fort, once the residence of Mughal Emperors and the seat of power until 1857, its ramparts echoing with India’s most defining moments.

In New Delhi, drive along the stately, tree-lined Rajpath to the 42-metre-high India Gate, a solemn memorial to the soldiers who gave their lives in the First World War. At the far end of the boulevard, admire the grandeur of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President’s Residence. Conclude your tour at the magnificent Humayun’s Tomb, built in 1570 for a Mughal emperor, a masterpiece that inspired later Mughal architecture.

After breakfast, set out on a picturesque drive from Delhi to Mandawa, a journey of around five to six hours through the rustic charm of Rajasthan’s countryside. On arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to refresh.

In the afternoon, embark on a guided exploration of Mandawa, often hailed as Rajasthan’s “open‑air art gallery.” Admire the beautifully painted havelis, adorned with vivid frescoes and intricate carvings, each telling stories of the region’s merchant past. Stroll through historic mansions, uncover the rich heritage of the Shekhawati region, and delight in the unique fusion of art and architecture that defines this captivating town.

After breakfast, set off on a comfortable drive from Mandawa to Bikaner, a journey of approximately 4 to 5 hours through the semi‑arid landscapes of northern Rajasthan. On arrival, check into your hotel and unwind.

Travel through the scenic Aravalli Hills as you make your way to Udaipur, pausing en route to admire the magnificent Ranakpur Temples. Celebrated for their exquisite marble carvings and 1,444 individually sculpted pillars, these Jain temples provide a tranquil and spiritual interlude before continuing on to the romantic “City of Lakes.” On arrival, receive a regal welcome at your hotel and take time to relax.

This morning, set out to uncover Udaipur’s distinctive palaces and architectural gems. Begin at the grand City Palace, a dazzling blend of Rajasthani and Mughal styles, with gleaming walls, marble balconies, and the enchanting Peacock Courtyard sure to captivate. Continue to the Jagdish Temple, where finely carved pillars and richly painted walls adorn this three‑storey masterpiece. Next, visit Saheliyon‑ki‑Bari, the “Garden of the Maids of Honour,” a lavish retreat created for the 48 ladies who accompanied a royal dowry.

As evening falls, enjoy a shared boat ride across the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola. Watch as the city rises majestically above the lake, its palaces and temples glowing against the desert backdrop – a truly unforgettable sight.

After breakfast, drive from Udaipur to Bundi, a journey of approximately five to six hours through scenic countryside and charming small towns that reflect Rajasthan’s rural character. On arrival, check into your hotel.

The evening is at leisure – unwind at the hotel or wander through the narrow lanes of Bundi’s old town, where time seems to stand still amidst its historic atmosphere.

After breakfast, embark on a tour of Bundi, a town famed for its medieval forts, palaces, and stepwells that reveal Rajasthan’s lesser‑explored heritage. Highlights include Taragarh Fort, offering sweeping panoramic views, Bundi Palace adorned with exquisite murals, and the remarkable stepwells (baoris), ingenious structures that showcase the town’s unique water‑harvesting traditions.

After breakfast, drive from Bundi to Jaipur (approx. 4–5 hrs), passing through picturesque countryside and small towns that highlight Rajasthan’s rural charm. On arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure to relax at the hotel or explore Jaipur’s lively streets.

After a sumptuous breakfast, embark on a tour of the Amber Fort, with its distinctive Mughal architecture. Then, immerse yourself in the wonderful artworks and block prints of Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing, housed in a beautifully restored haveli (mansion), and learn the intricacies of this traditional Rajasthan craft.

Visit the City Palace and its museum which has a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury of the Mughals and Rajputs, including swords, antiques and artifacts. Then, learn about the heavens from within the Jantar Mantar Observatory packed with enormous astronomical and astrological instruments dating back to the 16th century.

Later, set out to discover the lesser-known wonders of the Pink City. Step inside lively temples to witness traditional customs, take part in a Hindu prayer ceremony, if you wish, and sip tea with the locals. Visit the ancient Vishnu temple decorated with fine frescos and mythological paintings. Enjoy a quick photo stop at Jaipur’s famous, Hawa Mahal (‘Palace of Winds’), with its distinctive red and pink facade with the afternoon free to explore the city at your leisure.

Post breakfast, travel overland to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. Standing proud in the heart of the city, the Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz and is now the world's pre-eminent expression of passionate mourning.

Check in to your hotel before heading to the former imperial city of the Mughal rulers, the heritage-listed Agra Fort. Venture within its red sandstone walls to discover a labyrinth of highly decorated palaces and ornate marble mosques built by the great Mughal emperor Akbar I. Continue to Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden), an oasis-like garden complex across the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal. From this beautiful spot amidst the fountains and flowerbeds in the sunset over the Taj Mahal – it will take your breath away.

Overnight stay in Agra

Rise early and head to the Taj Mahal as the morning light bathes the marble dome and minarets in a soft glow. Return to the hotel for a sumptuous breakfast.
