What are the main rules for traveling with pets on an airplane?

Where will the pets be kept on the plane?
In some airlines, small animals, meeting a specific weight limit, can be kept in a carrier in the cabin, under the seat in front of them. On the other hand, bigger animals are carried in a cage in the cargo part of the plane.
What is the temperature in the airline cargo hold for the pets?
The cargo part of the plane is temperature controlled by the airlines. Some cargo compartments are cooler with a temperature of 7 degree Celsius while others are a bit warmer with temperature around 18 degree Celsius.
Are dogs allowed to fly with their owners in the plane?
Every airline company has their own set of policies regarding pet travel. You will have to check with the company while booking your flight tickets. Some airlines allow cabin space, some allow cargo compartments while others don’t permit pet travel at all.
